RATT Frontman Stephen Pearcy Quits

Stephen Pearcy has left his position as longtime Frontman of RATT once again. It’s actually trending news! Amazing how all of us who love to rock and roll are finally understanding how to make our own news relevant with technology, it’s been a long time in the making! I’d rather see a sad note trend over another Justine Bieber story.

30 years of RATT is a long run for a band. One of my first records was RATT Out of the Cellar and I got it for $2.99 and have been cranking their tunes ever since.

You can read his full statement and commentary [via Blabbermouth] and also [via Eddie Trunk] which net it out pretty clearly. He’s sick and tired of the constant turmoil and negativity he is experiencing with the band. He clearly understands the legacy of RATT and would rather walk away and continue onward than trying to repair something fractured too deep.

Pearcy’s exit statement:

After 30 years creating the band RATT and losing a real brother, Robbin [Crosby, late RATT guitarist], it’s time that I personally part ways with the band. I am officially done with having anything to do with them due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.

I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. This music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes. I owe no one anything but a huge heartfelt thank you for coming to the party for the last 30 years.

With much respect, life goes on and the music I created will continue to be heard for years to come despite the dark clouds that have lingered for far too long. I will personally continue to make music and perform live shows.

See you out there.

So there you have it people. RATT = No More. Again. Last time Jizzy Pearl (currently on tour with Quiet Riot) took over for the live shows but since he is already booked what will happen next is anyones guess.
